The National School of Medicine offers two independent 4 year Doctor of Medicine (MD) programs in Fremantle and Sydney. Both Schools have received full re-accreditation with by the Australian Medical Council of Australia and are both highly ranked by graduates in national surveys. The two Schools were amalgamated in February 2021 to a national School of Medicine running the two MD programs. The School has an established and growing reputation for producing high quality, well rounded medical graduates ready for internship.

In addition, the School of Medicine offers programs in Health and Medical Sciences, Health Professional Education, Health Leadership and Bioethics, along with the Pre-Medicine Certificate and Higher Degrees by Research.

The School of Medicine is built on the values of respect for human life and for each person’s dignity, integrity, compassion, teamwork and humility. The School prioritises pastoral care and the personal health and wellbeing of its students. The School embeds bioethics, social justice and advocacy in the curriculum, has a strong and growing commitment to Aboriginal Health and also has a focus on rural and remote health with significant rural training opportunities in NSW, Victoria and WA.
