Offering world-class teaching in MedicinePublic Health and Biomedical Sciences, as well as five leading clinical research institutes and centres, the Faculty of Medicine is positioned to be a major force in medical education and translational research in Australia.

As the custodians of more than 4000 future medical and biomedical health clinicians and researchers, the Faculty of Medicine is driven, dedicated, and duty-bound to ensure our next generation of doctors, scientists, and health professionals is equipped with the tools to achieve their vision.

Reconfigured on 1 January 2017, the Faculty combines two research intensive schools, medical education, and five hospital-based institutes and centres. In doing so, we have achieved broad coverage of the ‘translational pipeline’ linking the pre-clinical and clinical sciences with population and global health.

Within our Faculty, we are teachers and we are researchers. We are students and we are staff. We are health professionals and together, we are united in our quest to make a global difference to health outcomes.
